She was born with the death of her mother
And was raised alone by her father
She was hated by the others
And every day she got farther and farther
She took a knife to her room
Attempting to seal her own fate
She tried to protect the others from doom
And all the people who only knew hate
Her father found her the next morning
Trying to wake her to go to school
It was a year when he stopped mourning
But never stopped calling himself a fool
She watches him every night
Wishing she could go back
Knowing how much he would fright
And a physical body is all she lacks
She has learned to control others
But cannot find her father's best friend
She still hasn't found her dead mother
So she waits for her father's end
Anyway, I like this. These lines are some of my favorite because you've hit a spot with the third one that I think not many people realize exists.
"She took a knife to her room
Attempting to seal her own fate
She tried to protect the others from doom"
A lot of people who (in my own experience) are prone to SI or even suicide, although I don't know anyone who's gone that far, do it because for some reason they think that it helps others. (The thought that 'so and so's life would be better if I wasn't around' is there a lot of the time.)
All in all, this is a great piece, even if it is a bit sad.
