As I watch the little girls
I begin thinking of my own children to come
Who will they resemble, their mother or me?
How will they act, rebellious or obedient?
As these and other questions enter my mind
I look at the sky and trees overhead
I imagine possibilities for the future
Boy, girl, twins, triplets
And as I finish my thoughts, I tell myself
"I can only wait."
